          I don’t recall the brand name, but they work by rotation (twisting) of the cables rather that the common push – pull

              Thank you! Wow that is funky….shafts to a certain point, then cables, then to the motor. I would like to see how that wide arc, low torque cable output worked on the motor end.

                  I had an RD-12 that had the following control ends. Took some photos before passing the controls to another member. Looks like these may be part of this control. I have a couple more photos but cna’t upload. PM me if interested.

                    You know, I have a KH7 Merc with a gear gizmo built into an extended throttle handle, that looks like it might accept that same kind of cable. I always figured it was for remote control but I could never picture it in my mind. Nothing on the shift part of the motor, though.
