Fleetwin,
Yes, I have an empty 1958 crankcase and carburetor.
In the last few years I have brought back to life several 15 and 18 HP 1950s Evinrudes with parts removed from parts powerheads obtained other members, Ebay, buying new parts, seals, etc. You even provided me with a parts 1959 powerhead (thank you). So nice to have these motors run again.
The present 15 HP Johnson I received as a basket case. Unfortunately the powerhead internals are rusty/unusable. I do not have a good 15 HP crank, rods, pistons, etc. But I do have the 1958 18 HP crankcase and a damaged 1961 18 HP parts powerhead. Hope that some of the internals are useable. Otherwise this project may not go.
In the day I had a nice new 1958 Johnson 18HP and really like the Johnson easy access hood and looks. So will try to build this as an 18 HP Johnson. I also want some remaining good parts I have leftover from the previous motor work put to use.

Unless there’s major pitting affecting the structural integrity of those rusty parts, I’d recommend soaking them in Evapo-Rust or an equivalent rust remover so they could be reused. You might be impressed with the results!
