      That looks OK, just a light coat. I don’t see a oil return hole. , , 🙂

        I had a big twin apart, so used it for demonstration.

        Look where my copper wire is pointing at. Very tiny hole, within the groove. That groove is often seen, and guys think they should install an o ring there, like they do on the bottom bearing. No o ring goes here.

          Here you can see the passage, through the channel, back into the incoming fuel/air mixture stream from carb into crankcase. The pictures came up in reverse order when I uploaded them. See bottom picture first. Excess oil forms in this cavity where copper wire is pointing, through the tiny hole in second picture, and out through reed plate into intake manifold in third picture.

          Something to note, there are a few varieties of gaskets for the intake manifold for different models of motor. Should you grab the wrong one, as it may LOOK to be close, it will block this passage, rendering the system useless.
