i have acquired two tn 28 Johnson outboards 5hp and they are different ,, as in color and decals,, was there a change in the years they were made,,,,thank you,, one is light green and one dark, one has yellow dedals and one white,,,
April 9, 2020 at 5:34 pm #199520TN28 was produced in 1952 and 53, but the original factory paint colors would have been the same for both years. The decals for both years were similar, but not identical, for both years. Both years decals were primarily white, but they may have yellowed with age and UV exposure.

"Every time you remove a broken or seized bolt an angel gets his wings."April 9, 2020 at 8:26 pm #199536Early TN’s were lighter Seamist Green and later TN’s were the darker Seahorse Green. I can’t remember the year they changed color at this moment. You will surely need new Leather Primer Seals and installation instructions to get them started. Might also need to make new floats. If so give me a call. I am in Northern Michigan. 231-929-7479
