I found this lower unit in my storage… I think it’s a johnson… the only identifying marks area 302-495 on one of the Seals.

a quick search of google says 302-495 is a FD-10 S 15hp seal. but It might be in error.

      anyone Thats correct ?

302495 seals are listed to fit ’51 to early ’57 10-18 horse motors but the gearcase shown looks more like a 5.5 or 7.5 four bolt style one from that era which take a 303345 seal. Maybe the carrier has been modified to accept the seal? Also, what’s that triangle shaped piece sticking out of the shift rod bushing?

Thanks Frank. The shift rod was the giveaway!

And here’s that prop shaft seal in the QD-12 QD-13 parts book.
