I went ahead and got my stand cleaned up and painted.

      Enjoy the pics 😀

I also noticed while stripping it down every color Johnson used. The Dealer must have painted it the new color every time Johnson switched, then someone painted it the Grey Blue?????

          I recall these mid ’30s Evinrude/Elto stands as being flat black . . . 🙂

            Flat black fixes everything! 😎

              Yes it sure does!!

I painted it with Duplicolor Low Gloss Black. I appears more shiny in the pics than it is in person.

A "Boathouse Repair" is one that done without having tools or the skills to do it properly.

It does Not have holes in it for wheels. That is a nice option that I wish it did have though.

Maybe that is a change they made along with the post being round, my tube is square?

Viking66, you’ve inspired me to clean up a nice "Lockwood" cast iron stand that I have.

Bill, good I am causing someone else work besides myself! LOL

All kidding aside . It was a fairly easy yet dirty project that I am glad I did. I am sure yours will come out nicely.

Post a pic before and after if you feel like it.
