runpet, thanks for the pics of the tiller handle. The patent drawings you posted are for the ’37 model. Here’s a couple I found for the ’36 model. One thing I like is that they show some good internal detail.
KirkAugust 25, 2020 at 7:08 am #212563Thanks Kirk, those drawings make restoration a little easier. Interesting how there are 2 patents for the same motor. And I understand that there is a 3rd person who is the original inventor.
I’m in the process now of cleaning and polishing. I obtained almost all the parts I needed from David K. He was really easy to deal with.

August 25, 2020 at 7:28 am #212564Hi Tubs, you were correct on the mirror finish on some parts. As I was cleaning and disassembling I could tell pretty easy which ones are polished. I tried that email address you supplied but it is under construction. I sent an email but haven’t heard from them. Sent one to another supplier with the same results. I’ll make some phone calls today.
Do you have a supplier for the handle grip and decals? I searched the net with no luck. The decals I did find were the wrong ones.

August 25, 2020 at 9:01 am #212588Thanks much Tubs. I ordered a hand grip but the decals are all gone. I sent a email to the seller. Keeping my fingers crossed. I have a place in town that could duplicate them but I would need to find a decent original photo/illustration.
Thanks again.
