      Hi guys
My uncle gave an old sears roebuck outboard.
I don’t know what year or HP.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I will try and post the picture as my main profile photo

We need the number that goes something like this: 571.xxxxx, or 574.xxxxx, etc. Of course a picture would help too.

I just purchased a boat and on it was a sears ted Williams edition Outboard. Any information or manuals would help. Here’s a pic of the plate. No telling when it was last run, so anything to gleam on will help.

9 hp McCulloch made motor. Kind of rare and looks to be in good shape. Be careful with the engine hood – it is fragile. Difficult motor to work on but is a pretty cool machine, not something you will see every day. PM me and I will send you a repair manual. Parts can generally be had. Nice boat, by the way.

When I was 14 I ran go-carts with twin Mac motors about 5 to 6 hp. They are hi reving motors. Then put it on a mini-bike, It flew! The factory was 100 miles away in Tucson Arizona at the time. Use good oil!
