anything is possible but if it it works now don’t fix it anymore 🙂 as the saying goes

see PDF’s on all you need to work on condensers………. incl an easy to build test box schematic if you send an e-mail to w.mohat (articles 1-4)

Thanks for the uf values. That is very helpful. So an update is in order. This all started with a submerged motor as I said in my original post. I cleaned everything a second time and actually got spark on one cylinder. So I swapped the condensers and cleaned connections once again and now I have spark on both cylinders. Is it possible the condensers were wet inside and have since dried out ? I’m baffled. I will try to run the motor today in the tank.

Most likely it was a bad connection and that includes
grounds. The condenser needs to be grounded to the
mag plate. If the ground was lost moving the condensers
around may have restored that connection.

A "Boathouse Repair" is one that done without having tools or the skills to do it properly.

Ok. Just ran it in the tank. All seems good. Agreed I will stop fixing it. I’m going to have to sell it. My back can’t take moving it around any more. I’ll stick to the smaller motors in the future. I have enough of those to keep me busy for sure. Thanks for the help.
