      How do you determine the year of a model 6039 Speeditwin? Book says it was built from 1939 through 1950, but does not give any info on serial numbers.

        Found this in a spreadsheet I got somewhere on the web (maxrules.com?)

        1939: up to 01000
        1940: 01001-02200
        1941: 02201-05000
        1946: 05001-10,000
        1947: 10,001-11,000
        1948: 11,001-23,100
        1949: 23,101-26,184
        1950: 26,185 and up

            Does it have a rubber or metal impeller?

              That will have a metal impeller.
