Sand lightly. Thin viscosity super glue..2 coats. And 3rd use. Might over size the hole with a drill to compensate for the glue tho.

Oh! I think I still have seals that will easily replace the little rubber primer cups too.
So I am seeing this with more open eyes, it is not the physical size but the floats ability to float that closes off the fuel flow, so being smaller but having better buoyancy allows this to work…
